Most puppies are ready for their first Puppy Intro Grooming visit once they’re comfortable being handled and have begun basic socialization. Early exposure helps puppies become familiar with grooming tools, gentle restraint, and new sensations in a safe, low-pressure way.
Starting early makes future grooming visits easier and far less stressful.

A Puppy Intro Grooming session is intentionally simple and short. We focus on light brushing, gentle handling of the face and paws, and calm exposure to grooming tools. If trimming is done, it’s minimal and only when your puppy is comfortable.
Every step is guided by your puppy’s comfort level. If they need breaks, reassurance, or time to reset, we adjust accordingly.

Puppies who are rushed or overwhelmed during early grooming experiences often develop long-term anxiety around grooming. Puppy Intro Grooming helps prevent this by allowing puppies to learn at their own pace.
By building positive associations early, we help puppies grow into dogs who feel calm, confident, and cooperative during grooming.

We arrive at your home right on schedule and begin with a calm, unhurried meet-and-greet. This gives your dog time to get comfortable with us and helps set a relaxed tone for the visit. We then take a moment with you to assess your dog’s needs and determine the safest, most comfortable place in your home for grooming, most often a bathroom or utility space.

Once the location is set, we bring in all necessary supplies and thoughtfully prepare our work area, keeping your home protected, clean, and organized. Your dog is then gently guided into the grooming process, with services performed patiently and attentively from start to finish. Comfort, safety, and clear communication guide every step.

After the groom is complete, we fully sanitize and clean the area, leaving the space fresh, orderly, and often better than we found it. We wrap up by returning your dog to you calm, refreshed, and well cared for, so you can enjoy peace of mind knowing the entire experience was handled with respect and intention.
